10 YEAR OLD DISABLED GIRL DIES IN HOUSE FIRE

"Police have reason to believe it was a case of arson and will not rule out wilful murder because the house was locked from outside before the fire started."

A 10 year old girl with a disability was burned alive in her home after her house caught fire at Premier Hill in Hagen, Western Highlands Province on Saturday.

Western Highlands Provincial Police Commander Jacob Kamiak said while it is too early to establish the cause of the fire, the double storey house was burned to ashes in the inferno while the little girl was locked inside the house.

He said the cause of the fire will be established once police and fire service conduct their investigations but police have reason to believe it was a case of arson and will not rule out wilful murder because the house was locked from outside before the fire started.

Kamiak said the little girl was burned to ashes and parts of the remains of her corpse were taken to the hospital.
