"PPC N’Drasel slammed the media reports that 20 of the detainees were to be released because there was no food at the Bulolo Police Station cell."

Bulolo Police station Commander Leo Kaikas has been suspended and charged for releasing reports to the media that detainees had no food while been locked up in the cell and were to be released.

Frustrated Morobe Provincial Police Commander Chief Inspector Alex N’Drasel said Commander Kaikas had no authority to release such information.

PPC N’Drasel slammed the media reports that 20 of the detainees were to be released because there was no food at the Bulolo Police Station cell.

He said despite the situation with the food rations, none of the 20 detainees in the lock up are permitted to be released.

N’Drasel said rations will be purchased for detainees when funds are made available and denied reports of a shortage of funds.
