DWU SET FOR CULTURAL SHOW DAY

Come along and witness this delivery with a true touch of variety presenting you with diversified cultures in songs and dances performed in radiant colorful costumes, depicting the day’s theme; “How wonderful it is, how pleasant for God’s people to embrace and showcase our diverse cultures in harmony”.

Divine Word University (DWU) is set to host yet another Cultural Day this Saturday, 17th August 2019. With colors of all 21 provinces combined, the day promises to let you see Papua New Guinea and get the sense of pride to be a Papua New Guinean in one arena.

The University’s International students mainly from our neighboring Pacific Island countries of Solomon Islands and Vanuatu are also set to proudly demonstrate and promote their cultures alongside their fellow PNG students.

This DWU calendar event is one that’s been mastered by the DWU students themselves since its initiation throughout the years and is here again.

"The Guest of Honor on the day to give the keynote address and officially open the show is the Madang Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman, Mr Kevin Murray. President of DWU, Professor Cecilia Nembou will also be with Mr Murray and other dignitaries and give her opening remarks."

Presenting you with the opportunity to see and get the feel of what to expect on show day is ‘The Parade’ night, that’s set to take place on the evening of Friday 16th August from 6pm -10pm at the SVD Auditorium.

The Cultural Show Parade is free of charge before the Cultural Show Day on the 17 August. The gate fees for the Saturday event are K5 for adults, K4 for students with no IDs, K3 for students with IDs and K2 for kids under 13 years of age.
