A possible vote of no confidence next week against Prime Minister Peter O’Neill may not affect the Papua LNG Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing that’s coming up.
Kikori Member Soroi Eoe, who is the current serving Minister for Community Development,Youth and Religion in the government was asked about his assurance to the people of his district given the Papua LNG project, if anything transpired during the no confidence vote.
“Yes it does have a bearing on whatever happens, that we should be mindful of, but we will wait and see.”
“In terms of this MOU, it’s between the provincial government, landowners on one side and the government one side”, Eoe said.
The member said it made no difference, whether government changes or not,the process must take place in preparation for the development forum.
