"ENB Provincial Police Commander Joseph Tabali said the escapee is a first time offender and was arrested for armed robbery in November 2018 and remanded."

A juvenile that escaped with 10 others several weeks ago from Kerevat CS in East New Britain province was recaptured yesterday at the Ulavior compound.

ENB Provincial Police Commander Joseph Tabali said the escapee is a first time offender and was arrested for armed robbery in November 2018 and remanded.

PPC Tabali said the escapee Auken Julius Nelson is from Aruk village, Drekekir in East Sepik Province. He was handed over by his relatives and was taken to Kerevat CS in the afternoon.

PPC Tabali said this now brings the number of escapees captured to 5, leaving 6 at large. He said police are doing combine operations with the CS to capture the remaining escapees.

PPC Tabali has appealed to relatives of the remaining escapees to assist and hand them over.
