GORDONS CLINIC STAFF SCUFFLE WITH ASIAN OVER LAND

"A police officer attached to the Gordons Police Station said the kind of action they took looked suspicious, they waited until all the staff at the clinic had gone and entered the clinic and started digging holes for fencing."

A scuffle between Gordons clinic staffs, police and an Asian and his contractors broke out late yesterday in the afternoon when the Asian and his contractors illegally entered the clinic vicinity and put up fencing posts.

The Gordons Clinic.

Staffs at the clinic with the Gordons Police were quick to intervene and stopped the Asian and his counterparts from putting up the posts.

The incident happened around 4-5pm in the afternoon. The staffs said the land the fencing posts were put up is on state land.

A police officer attached to the Gordons Police Station said the kind of action they took looked suspicious, they waited until all the staff at the clinic had gone and entered the clinic and started digging holes for fencing.

“I was about to go home after duty, when I saw them in a hurry digging holes for the fence, I rushed into the clinic vicinity and questioned them”,the officer said.

“I yelled at them and they stopped doing what they were doing and I said this land is not for you to come in and do whatever you please, it’s a state owned land and proper explanation or word from the health authorities must come before you do anything”, the officer said.

Despite the Asian showing documents owning the land potion, the police officer and staffs say they want proper explanation from the NCD Health Service.

“We didn’t receive any notice from the NCD Health Service (NHS) or the National Department of Health notifying us of this matter”, the staffs said.

“This land comes under the NCD Health Department but the Asian came in did what he did without any notice, however they were dealing with our hierarchy from the department,

But we want to know why they had to move our fence and come into the clinic vicinity, they said the fence was temporary but the way the fence was set up looked permanent”, staffs said.

“We want the original surveyors plan were it is legally binded, however the Asia didn’t have the documents instead told us they have an agreement and a court order”, said the disgruntled Gordons Clinic staff.

The NCD Health Service, North East MP and the NCD Governor have been called on to find out on the land issue at the Gordons clinic.

Clinic staff called on the relevant authorities to clarify the issue.
