POLICE ASSOCIATION HAS NO MANDATE TO QUESTION COMMISSIONER’S OFFICE

“The commissioner’s office and the management got their own reasons, why should we tell the police association”, he said.

The police association has no mandate in questioning the office of the commissioner and its management.

That’s the word from Acting Police Commissioner Jim Andrews after the police association said the manner in which police hierarchy misplaced Southern Highlands Provincial Police Commander Joseph Tondop was harsh leaving him without any duties to perform.

ACP Andrews said the management and the commissioner’s office got their own reasons.

“The commissioner’s office and the management got their own reasons, why should we tell the police association”, he said.

He added that it is the directive from the commissioner’s office and its management what they see fit and make decisions on the spot anytime.
