SP Hunters Coach Matthew Church has named a 37 man pre-season train on squad in preparation for the 2021 Queensland Intrust Super Cup season.

Grand finalist in the Digicel Cup Kroton Hela Wigmen and Lae Snax Tigers have eight players each in the squad.

Church said the squad will assemble in Port Moresby on Sunday November 29 for a month long pre-season training camp.

"They will undergo medical and fitness tests on arrival" Church said.

The squad will travel to their homes on December 23, 2020 for the festive season with their families.

They returned to camp on January 3, 2021.

"We will be in a better position by then to finalize the numbers we need in the final squad for the 2021 season,"Church said.

It is understood the team is also looking at relocating to South East Queensland due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Church said the relocation to South East Queensland is 'work in progress' with the acting CEO Stanley Hondina with our sponsors and QRL counterparts.

"In the meantime, we we will go through the pre-season training and preparation as normal," Church said.
