WHP POLICE VEHICLES GROUNDED OVER UNPAID BILLS

Western Highlands Police have grounded its public safety division vehicles over unpaid bills of thousands of kina to a certain workshop.  

The vehicles were under serviced and needed to be serviced however due to the unpaid bills, the vehicles have been grounded.

Western Highlands Provincial Police Commander Inspector Jacob Kamiak said the bills are from last year and has accumulated to date.  

PPC Kamiak stressed that this will affect operations however he is banking on the support of other police divisions within the province.

Kamiak said he sent word for assistance from the Police Headquarters however no word has come forth since last year.    

He said he has no choice but to ground the vehicles until the bill is sorted out.
